How to create 25 different unique conceptual photos from one object

Stuck for an idea of what to create next? Your next creative photo could be sitting right in your fruit bowl. With a little imagination, everyday objects around your home can become wildly creative works of art. Still not convinced? Take a look at the work from visual artist Aravis Dolmenna for inspiration on how to bring inanimate objects to life and making the ordinary extraordinary.

There’s no limit to how many concepts you can try with the one item and to demonstrate this Aravis has executed over 25 different creative ideas all starring the humble banana. Who would have thought that a piece of fruit could transform into so many different concepts from animals to viking ships. Without further ado let’s look at the different shapes and stories behind this masquerading piece of fruit.

Heres 25 different ways to get creative with Bananas:

  1. Monkey around and turn banana hands into actual hands!

2. Add some white paint and you have a beautiful swan gliding over a lakeο»Ώ

3. Create some Russian bananas, when you open them there is another smaller banana inside

4. Wrap it up! Who knows what could be inside?

5. Add a dorsal fin and you have a beautiful dolphin.

6. Paint yourself a trio of parrots in the jungle

7. Make it stand out! Funny how fruit tries to stand out to encourage animals to eat it and thus distribute its seed, but animals try to blend in, apparently they would rather not be eaten

8. Create a pair of cute pink piglets

My parents never wasted food, they grew up with rationing and understood the value of what was on their plate, their generation were seldom greedy either. My school dinner ladies, who were of the same generation as my parents had a frighteningly militant attitude to food waste too,the scrapings from our plates, which were meagre because of the bullying of the dinner ladies, were collected regularly to feed local pig farms. We are now told that maybe up to a third of all food produced is thrown away, uneaten, could this really be true, at a time when more and more people are relying on food banks to feed their families. I saw an article this morning about a fast food outlet, which, at closing time lined up the unsold burritos on the outdoor window sill to be taken by the local homeless, someone had commented below the article about a bakery in their local town who had done a similar thing until they were contacted by the IRS saying that if they were to do this they must pay the tax due on the donated products. Isn't it about time that the authorities started to show the kind of humanity that countless individuals show daily, and do something to help deal with the twin shames of food waste and hunger. 🐷🍌🐷🍌🐷🍌🐷🍌🐷🍌🐷 #creative_display_ #arte_minimal #creativegrammer #createcaptura #artselect #moodcommunity #ilikeitlikethis #artistic_unity_ #magic_shots #girlscreating #creativelysquared #styleonmytable #creativityfound #instamoments #rsa_ladies #hashtagfloosie #headyart #indetail #rsa #stilllife_perfection #minimalism42 #nothingisordinary_#aravisfantasyfruitnveg #jj_forum_2183

12. From three and a half bananas to a sitting duck

13. No art-ificial colours here! Just the entire rainbow

14. A monochrome colour study, what’s inside a blue banana?

15. Create something to smile about!

16. A sweet mermaid for breakfast

17. Let the very hungry caterpillar take a bite out of it

we all want to have stories told to us, maybe it makes our own lives seem bigger, that we can experience so many different lives through the words of others. It starts with those bright simple and repetitive stories for small children, "On Monday he ate through one apple but he was still hungry", and then as soon as we are old enough to sit still and listen our desire for stories becomes insatiable. It wasn't just procrastination when i begged my parents to tell me stories at bedtime, they both had different ways of fulfilling my request. My father made up stories, stories of dragons, soldiers journeying home from war, old women gathering firewood and dogs with eyes the size of plates, I now know that these stories were mostly based on old folk tales, but they were a little different each time he told them so we never got bored. My mother read to me, the Narnian chronicles of CS Lewis, one after the other until the seventh book was completed then we started number one again, This reading habit was a much greater gift then I could possible have realised, teaching me what treasure was to be found in a good book, this life long habit has allowed me to live through countless adventures and worlds. The other stories my mother told were stories from her own life, "tell me about the olden days" I used to beg her, and she would describe the sweets in the shops of Leeds, how it felt to carry a gas mask everywhere, the "farting" noises she learned to make through the mask, to anger her teachers, she told me about her hated boarding school which she ran away from many times, and her loneliness as an evacuee. Stories are still a big part of my life, I read every day, sometimes i write a little, and when I really cant be bothered, I sit back and let Hollywood tell me a story. #theveryhungrycaterpillar #aravisfantasyfruitnveg πŸ›πŸŒπŸ›πŸŒπŸ›πŸŒπŸ›πŸŒπŸ›πŸŒ πŸŒπŸ›πŸŒπŸ›πŸŒπŸ›πŸŒπŸ›πŸŒπŸ› #creative_display_ #creativegrammer #createcaptura #arts_help #ilikeitlikethis #artistic_unity_ #magic_shots #girlscreating #pocket_creative #creativelysquared #styleonmytable #creativityfound #instamoments #rsa_ladies #thecreativehive #jj_creative #hashtagfloosie #indetail #rsa #stilllife_perfection #JJ_Forum_1856
