#1 Add a creative twist to your coffee videos using the green screen tool
Ever wanted to make your coffee run videos a little more fun and eye-catching? If you’ve got CapCut on your phone and a few minutes to spare, you can pull off this cool green screen effect that’ll have everyone asking, “How’d you do that?”
Step 1: Record your clips
- Film a short video of your phone with a green screen background.
- Next, record yourself grabbing your coffee or any object you want to feature in your video.
Step 2: Import and arrange in CapCut
- Open CapCut and start a new project. Import both video clips: the one with the green screen phone and the one of you grabbing the drink.
Step 3: Overlay the green screen clip
- Place your main video (grabbing the drink) on the timeline.
- Add the green screen phone video as an overlay above your main clip.
Step 4: Remove the green screen background
- Select the overlay clip and use CapCut’s Chroma Key tool to remove the green background. This will make the phone screen transparent so your main video shows through.
- Adjust the intensity slider to clean up any leftover green edges for a seamless look.
Step 5: Fit the main clip into the phone
- Resize and position your main video so it fits perfectly within the phone screen area. Use CapCut’s crop and position tools for precise alignment.
Step 6: Duplicate and overlay for extra pop
- Duplicate your main clip and add it as another overlay at the beginning of the timeline.
- Use CapCut’s Auto Background Removal or the brush tool to cut yourself out from the background, creating a dynamic popping effect as you reach for your drink.
#2 Make your flatlays pop with playful cursor clicks
Looking to spice up your flatlay videos with a unique twist? Try adding a playful cursor click effect! It’s super easy and gives your content a fun, interactive vibe. Here’s how you can do it:
- Open your flatlay video in CapCut.
- Add a cursor sticker from the stickers menu, perfect for that “click here!” moment.
- Tap Keyframe to set your starting point.
- Move the cursor sticker to your next item and set another keyframe.
- Repeat for each item you want to “click” on.
- Search for a mouse clicking sound in CapCut’s audio library and drop it onto your timeline, lining it up with each cursor movement.

#3 Adding text behind you
Ever wondered how creators make text appear behind them in videos? It’s a cool effect that instantly levels up your content and it’s easier than you think!
- Open your video file in your editing app.
- Add your text and position it so it looks like you’re ducking underneath it. Play around until it lines up just right!
- Export or save this as your first clip.
- Go back to your original video file and add your exported clip as an overlay.
- Select “Remove Background” on the overlay clip, and voila! You’re in front and the text is behind you!
#4 Create a fun drink dispenser effect
Want to impress your friends with a super cool drink dispenser effect using just your phone and some simple editing? Here’s a quick guide to pull off this playful trick:
- Record two clips:
- First, film yourself pressing your phone as if you’re about to dispense a drink.
- Second, capture a shot of pouring your drink into a glass.
- Add both clips to your CapCut timeline
- Make the pouring clip an overlay and align it with the moment your finger “presses” your phone in the first clip.
- Apply a horizontal mask to the overlay. Position the mask’s line right at the edge of your phone so it looks like the drink is magically pouring out of your device. Adjust the mask’s position and feathering as needed for a seamless effect.
Now it’s your turn! Hopefully these ideas have given you the inspiration you need to create something awesome. Grab your phone, hit record, and bring them to life! I’d seriously love to see what you come up with, so don’t be shy about sharing. Stay gold xx
