Strategic Account Lead (Europe)

We're seeking an experienced leader to own enterprise client relationships and build our account management function

Overview

Creatively Squared is looking for a Strategic Account Lead to own relationships with our largest enterprise clients. You'll be the single point of contact for account health running strategic calls, coordinating Quarterly Business Reviews and ensuring our clients get measurable results from our service.

This is a player-coach role. You'll own accounts directly while also building the systems, playbooks and team that will scale account management across the business. You'll hire and develop Creative Leads, set delivery standards and shape how we serve enterprise brands.

What you'll be doing

  • Own client relationships — Act as the senior owner for enterprise accounts. Be the escalation point and trusted advisor, run monthly strategic calls, lead QBRs and ensure clients see clear, measurable business impact
  • Partner with Client Partners — Client Partners own new account acquisition and expansion into new brands or markets. Once a deal is closed, you assume ownership of the client relationship and delivery outcomes. You will work closely with Client Partners on smooth handovers and identifying expansion signals, without carrying a new business quota
  • Drive account health — Own delivery quality and account performance across your portfolio. Proactively identify and resolve issues, manage escalations, and ensure high retention, renewal readiness and long-term client confidence
  • Coordinate delivery — Lead delivery across your accounts, working through Creative Leads to ensure campaigns are executed on-brief, on-time and aligned with agreed objectives. Step in directly when standards or outcomes are at risk
  • Build the function — Develop the systems, standards and platform features that define account delivery at Creatively Squared. This is a foundational role, you will shape how we serve our clients at scale
  • Hire and develop Creative Leads — Recruit, coach, and performance-manage the team responsible for strategy and production, setting clear expectations for quality, ownership and client impact
  • Surface growth opportunities — Identify expansion opportunities and work with Client Partners to grow account revenue

About you

  • Client services experience — 10+ years in account management, client services or customer success roles, ideally at an agency or SaaS company serving enterprise clients
  • Creative and media literacy — You understand how digital creative works across paid social, eCommerce and brand channels. You can have informed conversations about strategy and performance
  • Enterprise relationship skills — You've managed complex, multi-stakeholder relationships with large brands. You're comfortable in senior client conversations and know how to effectively navigate politics
  • Operational excellence — You're organised, proactive and able to manage multiple accounts without dropping balls
  • Builder mindset — You've built or scaled account management functions before, or you're ready to. You're energised by ambiguity and creating from scratch
  • People leadership — Experience hiring, coaching and developing team members
  • Industry experience - You have creative, production or media agency experience with a deep understanding of global CPG brand industry and roles

Bonus points if you have

  • Experience at a high-growth startup or scale-up
  • Familiarity with tools like Slack, Notion and project management platforms

Who this role is not for

This role is not for someone looking for a traditional account management position, a pure sales role, or a hands-off leadership title. It is also not a pure people-management role, you will be directly involved in client delivery, leading from the front rather than overseeing from a distance. If you prefer clear, pre-defined playbooks, minimal ambiguity or being shielded from delivery issues, this will not be a fit.

This role is also not suited to candidates who simply want to apply what has worked before. We are deliberately building a new category between agency and software, which requires innovative thinking, a willingness to challenge industry norms, and the ability to work fluently with both the people and systems that exist today while designing what comes next. Success in this role requires comfort operating at the intersection of strategy, delivery, technology and client leadership, with real accountability for outcomes.
