The creator duo bringing studio-quality content and elevated UGC to brands

Powerhouse couple Brittany and Ryan are the talented team behind Mainstream Multi-Media. Based out of their home studio in North Carolina, they produce highly polished and professional content on par with any commercial studio. It's a long way from the kitchen countertop in their 700 square foot apartment where it all began back in 2020.
Brittany began her journey as a beauty and cosmetics influencer on YouTube but soon transformed into a product photographer fueled by her passion for marketing and content creation. With Ryan by her side complementing her skillset and supporting her creativity, the chilled couple soon became a formidable creative partnership. A perfect pairing, Brittany focuses on the styling and editing whilst Ryan is all things lighting and videography. They now both focus on Mainstream Multi-Media full-time and are going from strength to strength.
From the moment she joined our creator community, Brittany has impressed us. Her injection of creative enthusiasm is so refreshing and her hunger to share her knowledge is always welcomed. Her vibrant and clean style paired with Ryan's technical knowledge and their studio quality portfolio meant they quickly joined our creator team for paid project opportunities. They have now delivered amazingly professional stills, stop motions and UGC videos for our customers like Jack Daniel’s, Nexxus, Baby Dove and Love, Beauty & Planet whilst being a pleasure to work with and a team to rely on.
Mainstream Multi-Media's presence on platforms like YouTube and Instagram has morphed from Brittany's influencer days to educators and mentors as they teach new creators following in their footsteps with everything from creative hacks to business advice. Let’s meet Brittany and Ryan
Hi everyone! We’re Brittany and Ryan, the creative duo behind Mainstream Multi-Media. Over the past six years, we’ve built a product photography and video studio working primarily with beauty and skincare brands, focusing on creating intentional, high-performing visuals.
We’ve learned a lot through trial, error, and refining our process as we go! We love developing our creativity and sharing free education content online to help other fellow creatives.
Our aesthetic is rooted in simplicity with a strong focus on detail. We love working with soft textures, natural elements, and controlled lighting to create images that feel calm, polished, and immersive. It’s a balance between minimal styling and rich visual depth. We especially love working with body care brands like oils, butters, and creams. Bringing the unique scents to life visually is so much fun!
For lifestyle content, our approach becomes more environment-driven. We focus on natural light, real settings, and subtle movement to create scenes that feel lived-in and authentic.
When we’re not in the studio, you can find us hiking, exploring waterfalls, or gaming together on Xbox. We believe that living a healthy and creatively driven lifestyle outside of work is the key to always feeling inspired.

Journey with Creatively Squared
I love exploring new platforms and Creatively Squared came up in my research. I actually had no idea about the amazing community I was walking into, let alone that you offered work opportunities to your members!

Our Jack Daniel's Flavors shoot has been both the most challenging and most enjoyable shoot we’ve done with Creatively Squared! We shot outside, by a river, during sunset, and it was our first time trying to work with elements. The sun was setting, and it was a little cold, but being outside was a lot of fun! That day, we discovered our love of creating outdoor content!

Tools of the trade
In our studio, we use a Sony A7III with a Macro Lens (90mm f/2.8-22) and a Variable Lens (Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II Lens) depending on the project. We also love using both the Aperture 300x and Godox FV150 studio lights.
There is a lot of miscellaneous equipment that we use depending on the look we are going for, so we’ve created a free equipment guide list for other aspiring photographers to reference.
When it comes to computer programs, we use Capture One to tether our camera to our laptop so we can see our set in real time. Then we utilize both Lightroom and Photoshop to edit our final images!

What are your favourite props or locations to work with?
I love using fruit and fresh ingredients like flowers, herbs, and spices in our photography. Capturing the scent notes in products is my favorite type of studio photography to create. But when we’re not in a studio, we love creating outdoor content around the Blue Ridge Mountains. We did a snack brand at a waterfall, Nespresso at an overlook, and Jack Daniel's along a river.

We started on a kitchen countertop in our 700sqft apartment in 2020, then upgraded to a 2-bedroom in 2023, and finally, now, a home studio in 2026!

Mainstream Multi-Media’s creative process
We put together a detailed shot list with inspo images and clear notes for every idea. It keeps us moving fast on shoot day and lets the client see exactly how everything’s going to come together ahead of time. It works so well that we turned it into a template other photographers can use in their own business

Finding inspiration
When creating image concepts, I like to browse Pinterest to kick off my inspiration then, create a mood board to begin brainstorming all the details.
Top creative tips
Let your creativity lead the process! Give your client a strong vision, but don’t feel like you need to lock in every detail ahead of time. Some of the best results come from being in the moment; moving elements around, testing how textures and light interact, and building the scene as you go. Freehand styling has consistently led to our strongest work!
My top tip for creating content is to take each project one step at a time and proactively do things to give yourself space to think. We like to go on hikes and visit parks to get fresh air and detach ourselves from the digital world. This way, your mind is free to explore new ideas!

What’s next for Mainstream Multi-Media?
We want to expand more into lifestyle photography. I have a strong love for creating and exploring, so finding a middle ground that incorporates both and allows us to travel more is the natural next step in chasing our dreams!
